Elmo, Scarecrow, Parades, Pumpkins and Hayrides

Love at first sight. This was our first stop at Uncle Bob's Farm, and after twenty minutes of pig watching we wondered if it would be our only stop.

The gentleman to the left of Jeff challenged him to take over his job and create some pumpkin clay art. Poor guy didn't realize he was gonna get schooled.

First hayride ever was a hit!

Uncle Bob's lovely and plentiful pumpkin patch.

Los animales.

I had to post this one simply to show off her bad ass kicks.

This one took approximately 57 tries before we got it right.

Vivi's cousins at the Little Five Points Halloween Parade. It doesn't get much cuter than this, folks.

Her first appearance as Elmo.

Vivi with cousin Teddy.

No, Mom. I won't smile. Not until you get me out of this monkey suit. Oh, what's that? You think I look adorable? How bout' you try wearing it and we'll see how adorable you feel? PS Mom—I can't move. (At least, that's what I imagine she was thinking.)

Maybe if I just collapse on Mamie's lap they'll get the hint and take this thing off of me.

Poncey Highland neighborhood Halloween parade—never complete without a book.

And then I had the good sense to put her in something she could actually move around in for her school Halloween party.

Not the greatest shot here, but I had to try and capture her in class with her posse.

So there you have it... Halloween 2012. Lessons learned: no more bulky uncomfortable Halloween costumes—regardless of how cute I think they are. Every time  I peeled the Elmo costume of her she morphed into the happiest toddler on the block. Also, I need to get on the other side of the camera more so when Vivi looks back at my blog archives one day, she knows I existed. Last, I think we may need to go back to Uncle Bob's Farm and see if they're willing to part with the pig. She LOVED that little dirty brown guy.

Mamie was thrilled to be in Atlanta for all the “spooktacular” events! Vivi was an adorable Elmo even if it was not the most comfortable costume for her. I had the best time with the fam!! Much love, Mamie
